Zijn live optredens zijn een zeldzaamheid; hij verschijnt hoogstens één keer per jaar in het openbaar, hoewel hij regelmatig miljoenen kijkers op YouTube verzamelt. Net als in de late jaren ’80, blijft Nevzorov de meest schandalige en onvoorspelbare persoon op het scherm — alleen nu is het een computerscherm, geen televisie. Het was Nevzorov die in 2014 de eenvoudigste en meest nauwkeurige test bedacht om te bepalen wie ‘ wij ‘zijn en wie’ zij ‘ — de vraag “wiens Krim?
